TRAVEL JOURNAL

It's hard to stop the feeling of needing to be productive, especially when you're coming off an 8-year cycle of being productive based on others' definitions and standards. Is productivity getting as much done as fast as possible, or is it actually allowing ourselves the space to see how much fullness and aliveness resides in every moment, and take part in that space with complete presence?

We are all supposed to be here. And when we allow ourselves the space to accept that, I think the definition of productivity changes. More doesn't become more work, more products, more comparison, more needing…instead it becomes more intention, more thoughtfulness, more acceptance, more sharing, more creating, more CONNECTION, more learning, more admiration… and more love of the fullness and life surrounding us in every moment.

Everything is happening for us, not to us.

When I embrace that, when I remember that, I want to soak in more instead of push to the next thing. A simple reminder that the next better version of myself isn't outside of myself. It never has been... and when I remember my full self has the potential to be here right now, I am able to play in that space, and absorb that space, to meet others in that space more fully. To feel the infinite love in that space.

It's equally as hard to stop as it is to go. Just like the ladybug caught in the wind and sand on the beach, what direction was it headed? Why was it there, there were no plants? It seemed out of place, but maybe out of place is exactly where it was supposed to be, on its way to becoming, on its way to being.

On our way to becoming, on our way to being...

Our life, in our current bodies, has all of the fullness we'd ever need. It has since day one. There is no need to make more of it. Instead let’s embrace more of it…Let’s start listening deeply to it…All of its fullness in every moment rooted in connection to self, land, and each other...Let’s accept that we are all exactly where we are supposed to be… on our way to being.
